Briefly introduce the manual slag centrifugal separation filter machine
Source:/ Release date: 2025-11-20
The manual slag centrifugal separation filter is a traditional separation equipment that achieves solid-liquid separation based on the principle of centrifugal force and requires manual operation to unload the filter residue. The core working logic is: the motor drives the drum to rotate at high speed, forming a strong centrifugal force field, and throwing the suspension (solid-liquid mixture) to be processed onto the surface of the filter cloth/screen on the inner wall of the drum. The liquid is quickly separated and discharged through the pores of the filter material, while the solid particles are intercepted to form a filter cake. After the separation cycle is completed, the filter residue is manually opened, scraped or removed to complete one separation cycle.
Core features and key parameters
1. Core structure
Drum: The core working component is mostly made of stainless steel (304/316L) or carbon steel. It is designed as a closed, open or semi open type according to the scene requirements. The diameter of the drum is usually 300-1200mm, and the speed range is 800-3000r/min.
Filter material: attached to the inner wall of the drum, commonly used filter cloth (polyester, polypropylene, nylon) or mesh (metal woven mesh, sintered mesh), should be selected according to the particle size (5 μ m-1mm) and chemical properties of the material.
Transmission system: composed of motors, belts/couplings, bearings, etc., providing rotational power for the drum. Some small equipment adopts direct transmission to simplify the structure.
Rack and damping device: supporting the main body of the equipment, equipped with springs or rubber dampers to reduce vibration during high-speed rotation and ensure operational stability.
2. Key features
Operation mode: The separation process (feeding, separation, filtration) can be automatically completed, but the discharge of filter residue must be manually intervened (such as opening the lid to scrape the residue after shutdown, removing the filter cloth to pour the residue), suitable for small batch and intermittent production.
Separation accuracy: Medium accuracy, capable of separating suspensions with particle size ≥ 5 μ m. The filtration effect depends on the accuracy of the filter material and the magnitude of centrifugal force (centrifugal force is usually 100-1000 times that of gravity).
Suitable materials: Suitable for suspensions with low viscosity (≤ 500mPa · s) and moderate solid content (5% -30%), especially suitable for handling non corrosive and non-toxic conventional materials (such as ordinary chemical raw materials, food processing by-products, etc.).
Advantages and limitations:
Advantages: Simple structure, low manufacturing cost, affordable equipment procurement and maintenance costs, low operational threshold, no need for complex control systems, suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises or budget limited scenarios.
Limitations: High manual labor intensity, low slag discharge efficiency, and inability to produce continuously; Frequent opening of the lid may lead to material contamination (not suitable for scenarios with high requirements for sterility and cleanliness); There are safety risks associated with manual operation of toxic, flammable, explosive, and corrosive materials.
